Welcome to the MAGLopedia The MAGLopedia is the MAG 2 encyclopedia, written and kept up to date by the team. You will find a dossier on each of the four PMCs, the six combat classes, how battles are organised, and where development is heading. As the game grows, so will this forum. Spotted something missing or out of date? Comment on the article and we will fix it.
PMC dossier: VALOR Motto: "Hold the line." Headquarters: Veld Dam Fortress Doctrine: Balanced and flexible with dominant vehicles. Built from career soldiers, VALOR sells certainty. Their operators dig in, fortify and make every sector cost more than it is worth to take. Field ratings Firepower: 85/100 Technology: 63/100 Mobility: 88/100 Armor: 60/100 Enlisted with VALOR? Your sealed Command Post is waiting under Section 1 of the forums.
PMC dossier: RAVEN Motto: "Order through precision." Headquarters: Geneva Arcology Doctrine: Drone-led strikes and elite-level tech. RAVEN fights from a distance. Swarms of recon drones, jammed enemy comms and surgical strikes let a small force dismantle a much larger one before it reaches the wire. Field ratings Firepower: 64/100 Technology: 89/100 Mobility: 57/100 Armor: 72/100 Enlisted with RAVEN? Your sealed Command Post is waiting under Section 1 of the forums.
PMC dossier: SVER Motto: "Strength in numbers." Headquarters: Ashfall Airbase Doctrine: Relentless assaults with improved gear. SVER recruits from the places other countries used to bomb. Their equipment from the first Shadow War was salvaged, but now they are much better equipped. Their tactics are blunt, and no other PMC pushes harder or takes ground faster when the shooting starts. Field ratings Firepower: 92/100 Technology: 48/100 Mobility: 96/100 Armor: 51/100 Enlisted with SVER? Your s…
See morePMC dossier: ASAHI Motto: "Precision through discipline." Headquarters: Kyoto Spire Doctrine: Corporate strike teams and immaculate logistics. ASAHI treats war like a chess match. Their operators are drilled, equipped and have better EWAR than any rival, and they never commit to a fight they have not already costed out. Field ratings Firepower: 78/100 Technology: 94/100 Mobility: 66/100 Armor: 72/100 Enlisted with ASAHI? Your sealed Command Post is waiting under Section 1 of the forums.
The six combat classes Every squad is built from six classes. Here is what each one brings to the fight. Assault: frontline rifleman. The backbone of every push, fast, flexible and first through the door. Loadout: AR-7 carbine, frag grenades, breaching charge. Powerbroker: battlefield economy and control. Controls supply lines and buys the squad an edge before the shooting starts. Loadout: Tier 2 Factory, Tier 1 Fuel Depot, Tier 2 Resource Transports. Heavy Assault: close-quarters breacher.…
See moreThe Shadow War: the world of MAG 2 MAG 2: Shadow War is the follow-up to 2010's MAG. The story moves forward to 2035, where four private military companies, ASAHI, SVER, RAVEN and VALOR, compete for corporate contracts. Operators protect assets, sabotage rivals and uncover corporate secrets in a persistent war, and every operator chooses which company to fight for. Read the PMC dossiers in this forum to decide where you belong.
Battle size and the chain of command The largest battles in MAG 2 hold 1,024 players at once. To keep a fight that size under control, operators are organised into squads, platoons and companies with a full chain of command. Commanders mark objectives and call in support, and every class has a job within the squad. Questions about how command will work? Ask in the comments.

See moreChanging PMCs: what to know You are not locked into one PMC forever. In the game, your operator will have the option to change PMCs with progression. When you reach the appropriate level you can choose to stay loyal or sign with a different company. You will also be able to buy secondary and tertiary character slots. On these forums, your PMC opens its sealed Command Post. You can switch PMC on your Account page once every 30 days.
Be decent to every operator, whatever their PMC. No cheats, exploits or leaked builds.
