Most players leave a mark on the battlefield. KageHoshi left a mark on the game itself.
In the original MAG, while others were grinding kills and chasing medals, KageHoshi was watching — studying the systems, identifying the gaps, and putting forward ideas with the kind of clarity and precision that made developers stop and actually listen. Not every suggestion makes it. KageHoshi’s did. Multiple times. The features you’re using right now, the balance decisions that feel obvious in retrospect, the quality-of-life improvements that the community wondered why they hadn’t always been there — trace enough of them back and you’ll find KageHoshi’s fingerprints.
That’s a rare thing in any game community. To play something, love it enough to want it to be better, and then actually make it better — not through code or design, but through the kind of feedback that cuts straight to the point and can’t be ignored.
MAG 2 is a different game because of this player. Not metaphorically. Literally.
The community builds the war. KageHoshi helped build the world it’s fought in.
