Before the meta settled. Before the clans organized. Before anyone really knew what the original MAG was going to become — El Capitrucho was already the best player.

In the early days of MAG, when the game was still being figured out in real time and most operators were learning the basics, El Capitrucho was operating at a level that didn’t make sense yet. SVER weapons in his hands weren't just fast — they were surgical. The speed, the aggression, the instinct for where the fight was going before it got there — he had it from day one, which is the hardest time to have it, when there’s no established playbook to follow and no footage to study.

As an early member of 3C, he helped define what SVER dominance could look like before competitive play had a definition. The players who came after him — the ones who made SVER feared across every mode and every map — were building on a foundation he helped lay when the ground was still being broken.

The debate about the greatest MAG player ever will always have multiple names in it. El Capitrucho’s will always be in the first sentence.
